Lima, May 31, 2017.- Miranda & Amado partners participated in the Eleventh International Congress on Arbitration organized by Pontificia Universidad Católica (PUCP), held on the college campus from May 24 to 26.

Partner José Daniel Amado participated as a roundtable speaker during the “Lessons Learned from Investment Arbitration” discussion, with the presentation “Chevron vs. Ecuador: Reparation of Damages Caused by the Investor”.

Partner Mauricio Raffo also participated as an arbitrator in a mock hearing during the “Analysis of a Case in Construction Arbitration: Challenges Against Corruption” conference, organized by the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Young Arbitrators Forum (YAF), which took place on occasion of the Congress.

It should be noted that the purpose of these events was to show how party counsel argue and analyze corruption matters in an opening plea, as well as the arbitration tribunal’s reaction.
