Miranda & Amado announces new Labor Practice Team

Lima, August 28, 2019.  Miranda & Amado announced that a new generation of young lawyers with extensive experience in Peru and abroad will lead its labor practice.

The firm reported that partner Eric Castro will take the lead in the labor practice, while Carlos Cadillo, Fernando Rodríguez and Luis Santa Cruz have been appointed to co-lead said practice, which will continue to offer specialized advice on issues such as collective bargaining, arbitration, inspections, occupational safety and health, organizational restructuring and immigration, backed by the firm’s multidisciplinary approach. Meanwhile, Sebastián Soltau will do the same in the labor litigation practice area. The team is also made up of other seasoned professionals, including Aracelli Morales, Carol Villalobos and Julio Villalobos.

“We have weighed our options to renew the leadership of our successful working group and decided to nurture our own talent: designating young lawyers who have embraced our style and culture, and gained our trust and, above all, that of our clients,” said Luis Miranda, one of the founding partners.

Miranda & Amado is widely recognized both nationally and internationally for having a first-class legal practice in all areas of Commercial Law. Over the last decade, its peers and clients have underscored the firm’s work, while considering it an important player in the labor law market. It is worth mentioning that Giovanni Priori, co-leader of the litigation practice, has recently been designated to join the government-appointed commission in charge of drafting the new Labor Procedural Law.

According to founding partner José Daniel Amado, “this is exactly the institutional move that our clients would expect from us, particularly in the year of our twentieth anniversary.”
