With broad experience in both commercial and investment arbitration proceedings, Cristina has represented investors and respondent States in arbitrations under the rules of the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID) and the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC). Her experience also includes commercial disputes conducted under the rules of the ICC, the Lima Chamber of Commerce, and the International Centre for Dispute Resolution (ICDR). In addition, she is a seasoned litigant in matters relating to arbitration award enforcement. Cristina was a member of Miranda & Amado from 2004 to 2006. She rejoined the firm in 2014, served as counsel until 2018, and was then promoted to partner. Previously, she was an associate at King & Spalding in New York (2012–2013), Crowell & Moring in New York (2010–2012), and Curtis, Mallet-Prevost, Colt & Mosle in New York (2009–2010). Cristina earned her law degree from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú and holds an LL.M. from New York University School of Law. She is a native Spanish speaker and fluent in English.
