Alfonso focuses his professional practice on criminal advisory matters and criminal litigation. He has over 30 years of experience as a lawyer, specializing in the design and implementation of legal strategies to effectively address highly complex litigation, adopting a comprehensive and multidisciplinary approach. He has played an active role in the defense of landmark cases involving shareholders, senior executives and members of boards of directors of both domestic and foreign companies, across sectors including mining, financial services, industrial, electric power, gas, pharmaceutical and retail, among others. Alfonso has extensive experience in criminal procedural law, constitutional criminal law, legal advisory services, expert opinions and legal reports, criminal risk prevention, and corporate compliance and regulatory compliance proceedings. He joined the firm as a Partner in 2026. Previously, he was Founding Partner of Sánchez Castillo Abogados S.C.R.L. from 2014 to 2025, and practiced as an independent lawyer from 1993 to 2013. Alfonso holds a Law degree from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú and has completed graduate studies in Criminal Law at the Graduate School of the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú.
