We reaffirm our commitment with the development of women in legal profession
The award took place in June 9 in the last edition of the EUROMONEY Legal Media Group – AMERICAS WOMEN IN BUSINESS LAW AWARDS, which celebrate the achievements of law firms who have reached a standard in practices facilitating women work in the legal profession, as well as recognize women leaders in this industry throughout America.
Rocío is the Coordinating Partner of the Tax and Customs practice of our law firm. She has broad experience providing planning services and tax advice, and representing important clients in tax litigation.
Our law firm was also represented in the event by Nathalie Paredes, partner member of our Human Resources Committee.
It is noteworthy that both Rocío and Nathalie participate actively in the “International Steering Committee of Women in the Profession Program” from the Cyrus R. Vance Center for International Justice.
Regarding the ceremony, Rocío remarked that “It was enriching to know the contributions of women leaders who selflessly work to raise awareness of the need to implement policies of gender diversity and work-life balance in law firms and the legal profession in general.”
Meanwhile, Nathalie emphasized “the importance of these events as places to learn from various initiatives and experiences of other law firms, in order to improve the policies implemented in our institution.”
Miranda & Amado is constantly working to contribute to the advancement and empowerment of women in the legal profession, in the last two years two female partners were promoted, making the firm proud to have five women partners, each holding leading positions in their respective specialties. Furthermore, the firm has a Human Resources Committee, which has implemented a flextime and part-time program to retain talent within the organization.
