We have included new partners in our arbitration and labor departments
We announce the appointment of Cristina Ferraro and Roberto Matallana as partners of our firm in the arbitration and labor departments respectively.
These appointments are further evidence of our commitment to reinforce our practice and support the growth of our team’s most talented members. Both lawyers worked as counsel with the firm until April of this year and will continue with their respective responsibilities now that they have been named as partners. Our firm now has 28 partners.
Cristina has represented clients in commercial arbitration and international investment, and governments taken to arbitration under the rules of the International Center for the Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID) and the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), among others. Cristina is the first person to become a partner with the firm while telecommuting, having lived in Washington DC for the past year while continuing to work full time for the firm. The firm believes that, given advances in communication technology, there is no longer any reason for the location of individuals to constitute an obstacle to this type of strategic decision. On the contrary, Cristina’s place of residence is an advantage, given that it allows her to continue to broaden her international outlook, which is a particularly important aspect of the field of international arbitration. Cristina graduated in law from the Universidad Católica del Perú (Pontifical Catholic University of Peru) and holds a Master’s degree from New York University (NYU).
Roberto is highly experienced in providing legal advice on procedural labor issues, as well as on the fields of human resources, social security and negotiation. Since he joined the firm as counsel in 2010, he has been very active assisting the firm’s major clients and is currently co-leader of the firm’s labor litigation department. Roberto graduated in law from the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru and holds a Master’s degree from the same institution in Labor and Social Security Law.
The appointment of these two new partners will enable our firm to continue offering the personalized services for which it is known, while reinforcing our high standards of service.
